Katie McCutcheon is an interdisciplinary storyteller based in New York City, working primarily across audio and other digital media to tell impactful stories.
Previously, she worked with San Francisco-based audio agency SOUND MADE PUBLIC, to bring a variety of sound experiences to life. While at SOUND MADE PUBLIC, Katie worked with the world’s leading art institutions, from The Guggenheim Museum to The Whitney Museum of American Art, as well as tech giants like GitHub, and an array of luminary artists and designers, such as Nina Katchadourian and Rem Koolhaus, to spread ideas that ask for introspection and tell stories that inspire connection. Additionally, Katie has contributed to podcasts such as KALW’s award-winning The Spiritual Edge, The Kitchen Sisters Present, and BBC Radio 4’s Open Book.
Before that, Katie worked on the communications team for CityYouthNow, a non-profit dedicated to the equity of San Francisco’s marginalized youth in the juvenile justice system.
She also lived and worked in South America for a couple years, where she was on the communications team for World Wildlife Fund in Asunción, Paraguay, and also worked as a photojournalist for The Argentina Independent in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
